Yesterday marked exactly one year since I first posted on this blog! 🙂
On July 27, 2015, I hit “publish” on a short, ambitious, and (now looking back) slightly pretentious blog post about who I am/was at that time of my life and about wanting to carve out a space for myself on the internet, and rather, the world at large.
And while a lot life happened since that first post—adventures, setbacks, and starting a career—I still feel like I’ve got a whole lot more of life I gotta power through. Still so much to learn from my marketing job, still half a passion project to complete, and still so many stories I need to sit down and write about.
There have been times where this blog was a source of guilt for me, when I’d neglect it and let myself get sucked into the busy of things. But on the flipside, making the simple effort to document my progress no matter how small has become an overwhelming source of positivity and joy in my life. Every post is a victory and a triumph over my own excuses. Every post is worth celebrating. My insides do a little happy dance every time I finally hit publish.
It feels so great to write. Sharing myself with the world in this small way always gives me more reasons to keep coming back. Thank God for the gift of writing. And of course, thank YOU, dear reader, for being a part of my journey.
On July 27, 2015, I wrote: “If I can make an impact on even just one reader out there by sharing who I am and what I do, I’ll have considered this project a success.”
Thank you for making this project a success.
