CAFÉ CREOLE: Soul Food + Coffee + Love

On a personal note: It’s an amazing feeling to realize how lucky you are to be exactly where you are in life.

When you pause and appreciate the fact that you get to learn and contribute to something greater than yourself, every day becomes a creative opportunity. As for me, my day to day learning experience is Marketing for The Red Crab Group of Restaurants. You may be familiar with our flagship brands, but we keep things interesting by branching out with new concepts. Working in the F&B industry isn’t always easy or conventional, but what keeps me going is knowing that at the heart of what we do is creating experiences. A restaurant should always strive to deliver the complete package: excellent food, excellent service, and a whole lot of tender loving care.

This is exactly the kind of value we try our best to deliver in Café Creole. Our promise is simple: great coffee, soul food at its best, and a quaint place to enjoy each other’s company.

A classic New Orleans coffee shop at heart, Café Creole is an all-day cafe and restaurant offering the full southern comfort food experience. Though only having opened last December 2015, Cafe Creole’s story has a lot of heart behind it. General Manager and restaurateur Mr. Raymund Magdaluyo, together with Executive Chef Peter Ayson, created  Café Creole as a spinoff of the well-loved Murray’s New Orleans Bourbon Street Steaks and Oystersinspired by the late Uncle Murray Hertz, the original founder of Murray’s New Orleans.

SOUL FOOD & ALL THAT JAZZ. Whether it’s brunch, people-watching, or dinner over drinks, every moment becomes memorable in Cafe Creole.

Café Creole serves Southern brunch dishes, savory soul food, signature coffee concoctions, plus breads and pastries. My personal favorites from the savory menu include the Bourbon St. Hangover Breakfast (a breakfast for champions with pancakes, garlic sausages, griddled bacon, potato hash, toast and eggs), the Steak & Frites, and of course, the generously served Jambalaya.

But your experience isn’t complete without trying the coffee and pastries. We take pride in our daily freshly baked goods and crafted brews. Since we’re open from breakfast (9AM) all the way to midnight, you can grab your caffeine fix and relax in the cozy interiors any time of day. I recommend taking your Creole Americano or Café Au Lait with Classic Beignets, a famously fluffy and powdery pastry from New Orleans.

BUT FIRST, COFFEE. We’re always brewing up new concoctions to add to our signature coffee and milkshake blends.

When night falls, watch as the café’s daytime charm transforms into a more intimate and jazzy ambiance for dinner and drinks. For the adventurous, we offer a variety of coffee liqueurs and cocktails that would fit right at home at Bourbon Street, New Orleans.

SLOW DOWN. Allow us to take you back to New Orleans’ most celebrated neighborhood, the French Quarter.

But ultimately, our goal in Café Creole goes beyond offering awesome food, drinks, and service. Whether it’s catching up with friends and family, slowing down with good company and a cup of coffee, we want to become that place you’ll always come back to to celebrate the things which make life worth living. 🙂
